Congrats to (Acting) Pilot Officer (APO) D, who made transition from Cadet Warrant Officer to Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer (CFAV) last week having turned 20. He's taking on Sqn Adjutant (Adj) role, and getting access to the associated systems. A timely Cadet => Staff transition ahead of our Sept new intake growth spurt.

Post hols returners swell ranks back to 40-46 parading. Main focus on Wing Comp prep with ensemble team getting some cool musical tutorage from Sgt R MkII. Gold DofE-ers deliver their Gold exped pres to finish section. Cdt R gets her Space badge from Rose Dragon.  STEM team crack on with design evolution. Space team boldly explore where no team has gone before.  Cdt K's Cyber team ponder what competition might be based on cryptic description.  Band tries to remember how to play. Banner takes great steps forward. Drill team practice timings.  Cdt W gets his Bronze DofE certificate/badge.

14 cadets from 1368 attended a Silver Practice and Assessed Expedition in Peak District. Very impressive Silver-level performances again especially the younger participants. Everyone who started finished and both practice and assessed groups finished strong demonstrating excellent teamwork and comraderie, great preparation and personal resilience, which sets us up for the next one. Well done.

Thursday's 1368 social saw 18 cadets plus staff head to Mr Karting for a spot of on track action. No broken karts this time. Nice mix of oldies, mids and a good helping of juniors. Lots of attempts to change the track layout. Some great year-on-year time performance improvements. Top 3 cadet times this year for the podium were Cpl H, Cdt L, FS R.

Last week of summer hols saw 3 staff and 7 cadets on Rose Dragon multi-activity camp and 2 on RAF Benson Summer Camp. At Sqn we took advantage of lower numbers & last of summer sun with some sports. The new RAFAC Commandant was on Rose Dragon. Sgt F won the SNCO challenge to get him doing the 1368 random point in direction photo (1368 Sqn Millennium Falcon medal for that one). Other news: Cdt W's Bronze DofE certificate arrived.
