1368 Sqn continues its 2025 athletics training programme
Cadets from 1368 Squadron continued their athletics training ahead of 2025 competition which could be tighter than ever with the general aging down of our cadets this year. We're pretty strong in the junior categories though and hence it will be a great chance to compete toe-to-toe with cadets from other Squadron's in the Wing. These are photos from 2025 session #4:
1368 Sqn remains a little unique in the Corps in terms of its focus on physical exercise and sport but we think it's great for life. The Squadron's peer supported environment often means young people are happy to give everything a go and not worried about what others think. Parents have said that their child may hate sports lessons at school but wouldn't miss a Sqn sports night for love nor money. It's also great for health and fitness in life. Running regular training also makes it possible to count parade nights for Physical DofE sections, esp for cadets that don't do sports outside of the squadron. The energy we can generate as a group is pretty impressive at the moment when it comes to the 1368's traditional Hokey Cokey warm down.
