Putting feet up for 2022

Some amazing successes for 1368 (Warwick and Royal Leamington Spa) Sqn in 2022 included:

  • Winning Wing Athletics 2022 trophy for best overall squadron.
  • Winning Cross Country 2022 trophy (if it can be found) for best overall squadron.
  • Gold practice and Gold actual expeditions in Snowdonia North and Cadair Idris regions.
  • Silver practice and Silver actual expeditions in Derbyshire Peaks and Shropshire Hills.
  • Bronze practice and Bronze actual expeditions in Warwickshire.
  • Adventure training including multiple Kayaking and Climbing Wall trips.
  • Blue badge leadership for 20+ cadets with 10+ going on to get Bronze leadership. 
  • Cadets on Blues camps incl. RAF Wittering, RAF Conningsby, RIAT, Southwick Park.
  • Cadets on Fieldcraft/Shooting camps, including 4 on SENTA 22.
  • Return of AEFs with at least 9 of our cadets getting their Blue Badge Wings.
  • At least 46 cadets splendidly presented in uniform across the Remembrance parades in Warwick and Royal Leamington Spa. 
  • At least 5 community duties including helping Warwick Lions and support at events, including meeting some famous people.
  • Essential First Aid courses and new First Aid equipment.
  • Cadets achieving radio award on Blue (Operator) and Bronze Radio courses.
  • 2 SNCOS on Nijmegen Road March 2022.
  • Great loungewear.

Big thankyou to the cadet NCO team, Staff, and helpers from other Squadrons including 2286 and 1289 and the Wing for making the making magic happen. Time to put the feet up until we hip slider our way into 2023 to do it all over again. There are still lots of mountains to climb.
